Sophia seemed ..at first glance.. not quite so sure that she was interested in being

followed around with a camera.

For one brief moment I feared we were about to get on the Gloomy Gus Bus but the tied turned...

It didn't take her long to warm up...

...and start running...

...challenging me to keep up...

...as she investigated anything that caught her interest...

Sophia investigated the fountain ...

...the train...

...and took a break for dancing...
though she did not break dance...

...and then she just took a break,

because we were both worn out! :)

The Haleys were my test run with the whole KCoJax Candids© thing. Shayne, who's been a dear friend of mine for many, many moons contacted me to let me know that his son had signed up for the Army and was going to leave for boot camp soon. One of the things he wanted desperately to get done before this oldest child took off into the world, was have one day of hanging out and have it photodocumented.

We chatted for sometime about the concept of the shoot and laughed as we both said, "...the view of a serial killer...", simultaneously. We had it scheduled!!

We began in downtown Paducah ... a beautiful area to visit, if you've never been .... at a place called the Broadway General Store ... a vintage funfest for the eyes!!
