A Valentine's Day Sunrise - 02/14/2014 - Metropolis, Illinois

It was much more delightful shooting this morning with the massive rise in temps, bringing us to about 35 degrees!! 

A nice big shot of the sky from the corner of 9th and Girard...

A branch at the corner of 9th and Girard just aching to bloom out and delight us...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this shot!!  I was just about to come back inside and I noticed this lone little cluster of ice cycles hanging on for dear life and the sunrise twinkling through them looked so fantastically prismatic...

It's a cold one this morning! I'd love to want to bundle up and take off into the woods with my camera, but I just can't muster it...
